Driving Supply Chain Emissions Reductions

11:45 - 12:20

Emissions located in the supply chain are on average four times as high as those from direct operations and can present significant risks to companies. CDP, a not-for-profit charity that runs the only global disclosure system for investors, companies, cities, states and regions to manage their environmental impacts, will present insights gathered from 10 years’ experience in the Supply Chain Programme. The focus of this session will be to share insights on supply chain optimisation strategies, which are helping companies to:

  • Lower emissions and thereby also lower costs
  • Set and achieve the Scope 3 element of Science Based Targets
  • Manage and mitigate supply chain environmental risks
  • Foster collaboration between suppliers and their customers to improve environmental management, and in particular to drive emissions reductions.
